Event description
Hear from the three finalists (Hood Design Studio, SCAPE, Snøhetta) as they present their ideas to transform key components of Waterside.

About this Event

Ambrose Property Group, in partnership with Central Indiana Community Foundation and Exhibit Columbus, are proud to present the three finalists for the Waterside Design Competition, an ambitious effort to transform key components of Waterside. The over 100-acre former General Motors Stamping Plant, situated in downtown Indianapolis along the White River and across from Lucas Oil Stadium, is a major asset and opportunity for the city of Indianapolis.

The design competition focuses on the adaptive reuse of the Crane Bay structure, a new civic plaza, pedestrian bridge, and public realm plan. On Wednesday, October 2nd the three finalists will present their ideas to create new public spaces that are culturally dynamic, inclusive, and artistically and architecturally significant. The competition is supported by a grant from Lilly Endowment's "Strengthening Indianapolis Through Arts and Cultural Innovation" initiative.
