About this event
Join us for the Network's livestream series, Waterside Chat, on Wednesday, May 25, at 3:00 p.m. ET for an update on efforts to protect Bristol Bay and to stop the proposed Pebble Mine.
Sam Snyder of the Wild Salmon Center and Scott Hed with Business for Bristol Bay will chat with host Tom Sadler about what you can do to help protect this iconic watershed and the most important wild salmon fisheries on the planet.
Sam and Scott will tell us about the latest efforts to encourage the EPA to use its authority under the Clean Water Act to protect Bristol Bay from Pebble Mine.
Sam and Scott will share:
- the background on the Bristol Bay watershed,
- the threat posed by the proposed Pebble Mine,
- what actions have taken place to protect Bristol Bay,
- what the EPA is doing now, and
- most importantly, what actions you can take to help.
EPA is expected to take action at the end of the month so this will be an important and timely chat. Please join us.
