Event description

Description

The fresh colors of newly picked vegetables make enticing painting subjects for our next workshop with artist Marian Hirsch.

Tomato reds, eggplant purples, and the lovely soft yellow greens of wax beans – they all provide endless painting inspiration. This class explores the techniques for creating successful still lifes using produce as subject matter, how to mix the perfect color match and model form with layered washes. Painting just adds another dimension to your vegetable garden enjoyment. It is not just about eating the bounty.

For beginners this will serve as a great introduction to start experimenting with watercolor. Our workshop is limited to 12 students, so that everyone receives the best in one-on-one instruction.

NOTE: not all supplies are included. Please purchase your supplies (from the suggested basic list below) in advance of the classes.
