In this interactive class attendees will learn how to make everyone's fave snack (which conveniently doubles up as a bloody mary garnish) dill pickled green beans, aka dilly beans! Participants will learn hands-on, how to safely and deliciously fresh pickle vegetables. We'll also cover the waterbath canning method of sealing the jars for shelf-storage as well as common safety concerns with food preservation.
We will be working with Tecolote Farm's green beans, which have a very short season here in Austin. Participants will each take home their own sealed jar of dilly beans.
Light snacks will be served.
