About this Event

Presenter: Patty Duncan, Director-Environment, League of Women Voters of Lee County Florida.

A powerpoint review of wetlands/springs/rivers/DRGRs and the relentless assault on our water resources. The scope of the presentation will be the destruction of wetlands (throughout Florida) with a focus on the local scene where the DRGR (Density Reduction/Groundwater Resource) areas are now being lost to development. The presenter has interviewed local environmentalists to collect their thoughts and research on projects such as FGCU as well as the Babcock Ranch agreement with the County.
