Water Summit: Building Capacity for Regional Sustainability in California
Wed, April 12, 2017, 1:00 PM – 6:00 PM PDT
A Water Summit: Building Capacity for Regional Sustainability in California will be a half-day workshop bringing together regional water and land use leaders from across the state to discuss challenges and opportunities related to establishing governance for groundwater management, developing groundwater management and other water management plans, improving regulatory processes and securing sustainable funding – all necessary ingredients for achieving sustainable water balance.
This event is cosponsored by the California Department of Water Resources and Water Education Foundation.
Check-in for the workshop will begin at 12:15 p.m. in Room 202 with the first presentation scheduled for 1 p.m. The fast-paced, interactive afternoon of panel discussions will adjourn at 4:30 p.m. to a networking reception in the adjacent Tools Pavilion. Here attendees can learn firsthand from state agency experts about technical and financial assistance, tools and other resources available to help California’s regions achieve sustainable management of water resources. The reception will end at 6 p.m.
