The purpose of this course is to train instructor candidates to teach courses in the American Red Cross Swimming and Water Safety program by developing their understanding of how to use course materials, how to conduct training sessions and how to evaluate participant progress. Demonstration, explanation, utilization of course manuals and materials, videos and DVD’s, analysis and practice of teaching skills are used to carry out course objectives. Upon successful completion, participants will receive certification in American Red Cross Water Safety Instruction.
This class meets on Mondays and Wednesdays from 6:00-9:00 pm from January 18 - February 22, 2017. You will meet from 6:00-7:00 pm in Rm 3040 CCRB; and in Bell Pool from 7:00-9:00 pm.

What is the cancellation/refund policy?
You may cancel from class without a penalty up until it meets for the first time. Cancellations and refunds are allowed only through the University of Michigan academic class calendar drop/add deadline: January 24, 2017. A $20 cancellation fee will apply. In order to obtain a refund, log on to EventBrite and request your refund.
