Event description

Description

We have a special format for our next Water Cooler Session. Our hugely talented copywriter partner, Clare Lynch from Doris and Bertie, will be hosting a session on how to get really great content for your communication.

The session will be focused on a case study for an Australian media client, Mi9, who asked us to write their company manifesto. As Clare will tell you, the trick with this project was keeping senior managers at bay and letting employees have their say to create a distinctly anti-corporate manifesto on what it meant to work there.

The session will be interactive and you are invited to bring along some of your own content to workshop.

We’re very grateful to Direct Line Group for agreeing to host this session which will be held on 26 September.

Visit our website if you want to read more about the Mi9 case study. And you may also like to start following Clare’s wonderful blog, Good Copy, Bad Copy.

Water Cooler Sessions are free of charge.

Hope to see you there.

Teresa.

"Thank you for the invitation to the last Water Cooler session! It couldn’t have come at a better time. Our company is getting ready to relocate to purpose-built headquarters and the internal communications team is grappling with how we can make this, not just a move from our current five locations into one new home – which is complicated enough! – but a move into a new culture of greater openness and collaboration. Along came a Water Cooler session devoted to this very issue to help shape our thinking, with a highly relevant case study and the opportunity to learn from colleagues who have been through something similar. It was an ideal balance of (semi-)formal input, informal QandA, and networking over breakfast (plus we got a Grand Designs-style tour of our host’s new HQ – who doesn’t like taking a peek behind the scenes of someone else’s workplace?). Even if the specific topic isn’t number one on your agenda for today, for fresh perspectives on how your counterparts are addressing challenges in communication, I’d recommend coming along to a Water Cooler session. Thanks again."
