Event description

Description

CIRAS watches global trends to keep Iowa manufacturers informed about what will impact their business. Due to stakeholder, community, and OEM priorities, we expect management of water, classified as “natural capital”, to become relevant for every manufacturer in the near future. Smart companies will make sure they understand how to support strategies that manage natural capital.

No matter what you make – metal parts, plastic parts, food, machinery, or just about anything else – water plays an important part in your company’s operations. Right now, water in Iowa remains cheap and readily available. But will that always be the case? What will you do if it’s not?

To help you take your first steps in strategically managing water, CIRAS will be hosting Water Technologies: Developing Your Long Term Strategy on November 8 in Des Moines. Experts will demonstrate how informed water strategy, new technology, and improved systems have made an impact in industries such as chemical manufacturing, food production, metal machining, printing, and durable goods manufacturing. Actively managing natural capital can reduce costs, generate new revenue, improve overall operations, enhance brand reputation and improve safety.

Water is certain to play a significant role in the future for Iowa’s business and industry because water is part of everything. Water may aid your processes, provide support for facilities and employees, be consumed during production itself, or be diverted as wastewater. Regardless, at some point, water touches every process, product, and employee in your operation. New strategies and new technologies can help you manage water and potentially secure a competitive advantage that aids growth. Attendees at CIRAS Water Technologies event will learn:

  • Why water is important
  • How water affects their business
  • What water strategy and natural capital means
  • Where to start

CIRAS will build your foundation of knowledge on water management. We will help you team up with industry experts to interpret your data and develop your integrated strategy. CIRAS will coach your team on where and when to implement the technology.
