Description

Watch the Skies! It's like a boardgame, but much, much bigger.

What's a megagame? It's a long story. Watch this video instead. Questions? Call us! (619) 402-1466.

To be held at the Shiley Special Events Suite on the 9th Floor of the San Diego Central Library from 9:00AM to 4:00 PM Saturday September 30th.

This event is free to attend, but if you would like to give us an optional donation to help cover our costs, we have some nice perks for you.

Donate at least $5.00, and you can name one other person that we will try to place you with as part of the same team. If you have multiple people that you want to be placed with, you can coordinate with them to "chain" groups together. Groups chained together can never exceed 6*, and will rarely work above 4*. We will do our best to place you, but we reserve the right to give you a refund if we are unable to honor your placement requests. Preference will be given to higher tiers.

Donate $20.00 or more and we will thank you heartily and get you FREE PIZZA for lunch on the day of the event. If possible, we will also attempt to place you with a +1 on the same team.

Donate $30.00 or more and you will get pizza and be in the third-tier pick of teams, ordered by donation amount. You may get to select which country you play as, which media team you want, or whether you are an alien. (Choices will be restricted by what higher tiers chose.) You can pull a friend in with you, and they may in turn each bring a +1 if they donated as well. Your chain may not exceed 5 for country teams, 6 for an alien team, or 4 for a media team.

Donate $40.00 or more and you get pizza and be in the second-tier pick of teams, ordered by donation amount. You may get to select which country you play as, which media team you want, or whether you are an alien. (You will pick your team after tier 1 selects their teams) You can pull up to 2 friends in with you, and they may in turn each bring a +1 if they donated $5 as well. Your chain may not exceed 5 for country teams, 6 for an alien team, or 4 for a media team.

Donate $50.00 or more and you will get pizza and be in the first tier-pick of teams, ordered by donation amount. You will get to select which country you play as, which media team you want, or whether you are an alien. You can pull up to 3 friends in with you, and they may in turn each bring a +1 if they donated as well. Your chain may not exceed 5 for country teams, 6 for an alien team, or 4 for a media team.

General FAQs

Are there minimum age requirements?

All players must have a solid grasp of at least Monopoly-level boardgames and have solid reading comprehension skills and an ability to independently speak confidently with strangers. So long as they meet these requirements, all ages are allowed as full players. Recommended minimum is 12 though.

Can I bring food into the event?

If you did not opt-into the Pizza tier, bringing a sack lunch is recommended. Bringing food and non-alcoholic drink is fine. Bringing food specific to your country is better. Bringing food that is specific to your country to use as bribes to sway other hungry players and use as bargaining chips in deals is best.

How can I contact The Puzzalarium with any questions?

You may email contact@puzzalarium.com or you may call us at (619) 402-1466.

What's the refund policy?

If you tell us about any issues or cancellations before September 16th, you will most likely receive a full refund. On or after the 16th of September 2017, you will get NOTHING. You will LOSE. Good DAY Sir.

Is my registration transferrable?

No. Each player must individually register. If a problem occurs and you need to transfer or cancel, please contact us ASAP at (619) 402-1466

*These numbers subject to change depending on factors currently unknown to you.
