About this Event

The world is getting excited for the release of Marvel's Hero Project on November 12th! This nonfiction series kicks off with an episode about Jordan Reeves, her glitter blaster called "Project Unicorn," and her work inspiring kids and adults alike through the power of design.

Jordan Reeves is a co-founder of the non-profit organization Born Just Right and co-author of a book with the same title, released this past summer. Ever since she was little, this 13-year-old has pushed through expectations and has shown how living with a disability can lead to awesome opportunities. Through public speaking and mentoring other kids with limb differences, Jordan works to change attitudes around physical differences. Jordan is currently changing what we think about disability by designing a body enhancement (a 3d printed prosthetic) that allows her to shoot biodegradable sparkles. It is called "Project Unicorn."

Born Just Right builds creative solutions that help kids with differences live a more enjoyable life. This includes our BOOST workshop, where Project Unicorn was born. At BOOST, kids with disabilities work with designers and engineers to prototype their custom boosted self!

If you love the work we do, please support us on November 12th by hosting your own watch party! Let's see if we can light up the map with watch parties across the country! Our goal is to have 50 watch parties happening that night, to celebrate and amplify the incredible work that Jordan has been doing. We'll also have an exclusive online event a couple days after the show's digital release. Celebrate with us, and help us reach our goal!

Here's how:

  1. Register on this Eventbrite page
  2. Invite your friends and family to join you on November 12th! (Even if it's just two of you there - that's great too!)
  3. We'll send an email the week of the event with details on how to access the episode and an event a couple of days after the release. (Note: Disney+ is offering a 1-week free trial, and you can register now. If you don't cancel, it will cost $6.99 for a month with Disney+, a new streaming service, to access the episode)

Thanks for your ongoing support and encouragement - we couldn't do it without a community like this one.

Until November 12th!
