Description

The Washtenaw Coordinated Funders (COFU), a collaboration of Washtenaw County, the City of Ann Arbor, and Washtenaw Urban County (represented by the Office of Community & Economic Development), United Way of Washtenaw County, the Ann Arbor Area Community Foundation, St. Joseph Mercy Ann Arbor, and the RNR Foundation are pleased to announce the FY2018 COFU Program Operations grants cycle.

We project that approximately $4.5 million annually will be available during this two-year grants cycle (FY2018-FY2020).

Grant investments will support health and human service programs in four priority areas: Aging, Housing & Homelessness, Safety-Net Health & Nutrition, and Cradle to Career – including both Early Childhood & School-Age Youth. Eligible applicants include the following tax-exempt entities: 501(c)(3)s, programs applying via a fiscal agent, governmental entities, school district, and other educational institutions.

The Program Operations Grants process includes two phases:

  1. The Request for Information (RFI) is the first step in the process to understand the financial solvency, governance practices and organizational capacity of applicants.
  2. The Request for Proposal (RFP) application will be made available to applicants who meet the minimum eligibility to apply based on RFI findings. (RFP Applicant Sessions will be held first week in January, and attendance at one will be mandatory.)

Attendance at one Info Session will be mandatory prior to participation in the process. Find other available Info Session dates and locations at www.coordinatedfunders.org.

Agencies can send up to 3 representatives to the Info Sessions. For example: Executive Directors, Program Managers and Grant Writers would be appropriate audiences for this session. Please make the arrangements that make the most sense for your agency.

Please submit any questions you have about the process online. Funders will address these questions at each of the upcoming RFI Training Sessions.
