Description

This workshop is an opportunity for Washington State water utilities to share strategies, lessons learned and success stories regarding drought preparedness and response. Participants will have the opportunity to identify practical actions that water utilities can take to proactively build and sustain mitigation measures, as well as response and recovery planning efforts. This workshop will specifically include:

• An overview of the current drought situation in Washington State
• An introduction to EPA’s Drought Response and Recovery: A Basic Guide for Water Utilities
• Case study presentations illustrating drought preparedness and response strategies implemented by Washington State communities
• Facilitated discussion opportunities on the topics of drought response, water loss management and water audit strategies

Continuing Education Units (CEUs) will be available for workshop attendees.

There is also the opportunity to participate from remote locations in Kent, Spokane Valley and Richland. Please indicate your interest in participating remotely when registering!
