Description

The Wooster Area Safety Council will meet on Wednesday, October 25th at Memories Party and Conference Center to hear from Dr. Nicole Labor on the topic of “Addiction & Drug Abuse”.

Dr. Labor graduated from Penn State University with a Bachelor of Science in Bio-Behavioral Health. She attended medical school at the Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine. Nicole completed her Family Practice residency in Buffalo, New York. Following this, she completed a fellowship in Addiction Medicine through Geisinger in northeastern Pennsylvania. Currently, Dr. Nicole Labor is the Associate Medical Director of Addiction Medicine for Summa. She is also the Founder and Director of the Addiction Medicine Fellowship for Summa, Medical Director for Interval Brotherhood Home, Medical Director for OneEighty in Wooster, and Medical Director for an opioid treatment center in Erie, Pennsylvania.

Dr. Labor is known in the addiction community for helping to educate healthcare providers, as well as patients and families on the disease of addiction in an understandable way. She seeks to dissolve the stigma around the disease and work with the community to promote healthy, sober living.
