Hurwitz, Ph.D., the president and CEO of Hurwitz Strategic Staffing will review how today’s job seekers and rising entrepreneurs can apply LinkedIn to their search for work and development of their professional image. As a “mega-user” of LinkedIn with a total of over 41,000 first-degree connections and more than 30,500 followers of his LinkedIn Pulse Posts, he will discuss the vital role that LinkedIn plays during a job seeker’s competitive screening process. Bruce has been an executive recruiter for 12 years. He also volunteers at the Manhattan Chamber of Commerce, serving as a Board Member, Co-Chair of the Entrepreneurship Committee, Ambassador, and host of their weekly podcast, The Voice of Manhattan Business.

Are there ID requirements to enter the event?

When you enter through the 238 Thompson Street entrance, please have your ID ready to present to campus security. If you have sucessfuly registered, you will be on a guest list which will allow you gain entry into the building. If you are an NYU student, only your Student ID will be required.

What trains can I take to get to the NYU campus?

You may reach NYU via the N and R lines by getting off at the 8th Street - NYU station. You may also use the B, D, F, M, A, C, and E lines by getting off at the West 4th Street station.

What would be appropriate dress attire for this event?

We highly recomend business casual. Keep in mind that we will have a student photographer at the event who can take a professional headshot for your LinkedIn profile picture.
