Description

An essential workshop to help those on interview panels understand how to assess safeguarding competencies.

Learn to test appropriate motivation, boundaries, values, emotional awareness and ability to safeguard with this full day course.


Participants will;

  • Learn what is meant by Warner/Value based recruitment and how it fits into your selection process

  • Explore your own values and how they impact recruitment decisions

  • Gain an understanding of what makes an individual suitable, or unsuitable to work with children and young people

  • Learn how to prepare for, and record, Warner/Value based interviews

  • Engage in practical activities, building knowledge and skills to undertake Warner/Value based interviews


This course is suitable for schools, social care services, residential homes, boarding schools and colleges who work with under 18s.

What are my transportation/parking options for getting to and from the event?

The nearest train station is approximately 3.5 miles away and the venue is also on a local bus route, however anybody travelling by public transport is urged to double check travel times before booking. For those arriving by car, ample free street parking is available at the venue.
