Description

Join the City of Walnut Creek for our monthly Development Services Forum! Open to the public, the Forum helps to share news about development in the City, allow for increased communication between community members and staff, and highlight relevant trends around the area.

September's spotlight is the rescheduled "Planning and Permitting: A Discussion with PG&E." In direct response to requests from development community members, City staff has previously welcomed outside agencies, such as Central San, EBMUD/CCWD, and County Fire, to address Forum attendees and participate in a meaningful dialogue. Staff now welcomes Vince Romeo, Customer Relationship Manager from PG&E, in September to discuss with Forum attendees the utility's review process, answers to FAQs, and common mistakes/pitfalls that developers should try to avoid when making an application for service. Further, City staff will present sustainability and clean energy initiatives the City has begun to combat climate change, including a discussion of incentives and programs of which developers may take advantage. Donuts and coffee will be provided.
