Description

About the Wallace SEL Initiative Launch

The two-day convening will provide an opportunity for city teams and Wallace staff to set the stage for the work of the Social and Emotional Learning Initiative. Sessions include:

  • Hearing from national and other district and OST leaders in the SEL space about their work
  • Interacting with role-alike staff who are leading their cities' SEL planning and exploring some common experiences
  • Learning about ongoing research into practice and market research on SEL
  • Deepening work with city coaches to prepare for key milestones in your planning work

The convening will foster collaboration among Wallace's grantees (inclusive of districts, OST intermediaries, technical assistance partners and researchers) who are participating in the planning phase of Wallace's new SEL initiative. Cities will also have opportunities to meet as a team with your CASEL and Forum/Weikart coaches.

District Superintendents are expected to attend on Day 1, January 9th.
