Event description
Join us for a curator-led walkthrough of "The Pencil Is a Key: Drawings by Incarcerated Artists"

About this Event

Join us for a tour of "The Pencil Is a Key: Drawings by Incarcerated Artists" led by co-curator Isabella Kapur. Featuring works produced over a roughly two-hundred-year period, the exhibition presents powerful evidence of the persistence of human creativity in the most inhumane of circumstances and argues for the necessity of art—in the form of drawing—to the life of every human being.

This event is free and open to the public. For any questions, please call 212.219.2166
