Event description

Description

Join us for a trip back in time! Learn how the early settlers ranched on this land in the 1880's. This outdoor event is open to CU international students, scholars, and their families. We'll leave from campus and take a 30-minute bus ride up Flagstaff Mountain. Visit a blacksmith, do some laundry on a washboard, churn butter, tour the outbuildings, and see how pioneers cooked and lived in the foothills of the Rocky Mountains! We can even watch and old-fashioned "base ball" game. Tickets are $4 per person, but you don't need a ticket for a toddler / baby if they can sit on your lap while riding the bus. This is a fun activity for the whole family. Pack a picnic lunch, a blanket and bring water, as there is no food for sale. Also, please dress for the weather as this is an outside activity. Plan on meeting at the Center For Community (C4C) bus stop on Regent Drive at 10:45 for an 11:00 departure.
