Walk with me! Saturday mornings at 10am

Its more than just a walk!

Five Free Saturdays September 30 through November 4th (excludes Oct 21st )

Have you ever wanted to make lifestyle changes toward improving your health? Perhaps wanting to start, or stay with an exercise program, but unsure of what exercise to be doing - stalled by motivation issues, fear of getting hurt, or struggling to set the time in a busy schedule?

Join me for weekly gatherings as we talk about simple lifestyle changes in manageable chunks that will help you get to where you want to be with regard to your health.

Bring your questions, bring your walking shoes, bring your vision of a healthier you!

We will meet for 20 to 30 minutes prior to each walk for check in and to share our vision of a healthy change we would like to make in our lives. We will continue the conversation - questions etc during the walks. The walks are an estimated 20-30 minutes at a casual pace. They are for the purpose of embodying the intentions we set for our health as much as they are for the exercise itself.

This is a free event intended for community connection and movement toward healthier living.

Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?

no, but registration is required

How will I know if the event has been canceled or rescheduled?

Registered participants will be notified via email of any changes due to weather or other unforeseen circumstances.

Are there minimum age restrictions or requirements to enter the event?

Event is for adults 18 and over

Participants must be able to walk 20 to 30 minutes over varied park surfaces and environments at a casual pace.

What are my parking options at the event?

There is typically plenty of parking at that hour at the Medford entrance of County Farm Park

What can I bring to the event?

Wear comfortable walking shoes.

Consider a small pad and pen for note taking, although not necessary

A raincoat depending on the weather

You may wish to bring a small water bottle although we will walk to the main pavilion within 30-40 minutes of the meeting where there is a public water fountain and bathrooms (porta john only after season)

Bathroom and hydration needs - Are there bathrooms at the event?

There could be 45 minutes from the 10am start time until the bathrooms (seasonal porta john) are available as we walk by the Main pavilion. It is recommended that you consider your hydration needs an hour or more before the meeting and to use your restroom before you leave your home. You may wish to bring a bottle of water and leave it in your car for the ride home.

What to expect:

The first half of the meeting is to share your thoughts regarding changes to your health that you may have been considering, or even working on, and which you may feel excited about, or a little stuck.

The idea is to receive support from the health coach as well as feel any group connections within the topic.

The areas shared may be related to food choices, meal planning, stress management, sleep, emotional resilience, life visioning, exercise or overall health and wellness ideas.

Participants can be at any level with regard to their health journey - from just beginning to work on their health and considering changes they want to make - to seasoned practitioners with extensive health backgrounds and knowledge.

The second half of the meeting is the walk. This is not a power walk for exercise, but more of an integration walk. The idea is for participants to walk with the intention they wish to set for their health.

Within the camaraderie of the group, this process can help ground-in those intentions going forward. The walk also serves as a time to connect with others, be outdoors and get some gentle exercise - all important, yet often overlooked elements in the overall picture of one's health.
