Event description

Description

YOU CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE

One in 4 women and 1 in 7 men are victims of domestic violence in their lifetime.

These are our sisters, mothers, brothers, friends, and co-workers. These statistics are just not acceptable. The Laurel Center works every day to support women, men, and their families who have been affected by domestic and sexual violence.

Participating in the Walk and Wag to End Domestic Violence allows you to be personally involved in supporting these victims in our community. Your support means that women, men, and their children can continue to receive the help and services they need to break the cycle of violence in their lives.

THE WALK

Bring your four-legged friends and join us to walk the 2-mile fitness trail in Chet Hobert Park in Berryville, VA. Walk this beautiful trail once, twice, or even three times through groves of pine trees and wooded areas.

· Pets are welcome and encouraged!

· FREE coffee & donuts!

· Raffle prizes!

· Fun for everyone!

Registration for the Walk begins at 8:00 am and the Walk begins at 9:00am.

Proceeds from the event will benefit The Laurel Center in Winchester. The Laurel Center is the only organization in our area that provides services to victims of domestic and sexual violence. Thanks to supporters like you we are able to provide emergency shelter, advocacy, crisis intervention, and support services to over 2,000 individuals in our area each year. We could not continue to offer these services without the wonderful community we live in!
