Held annually in more than 600 communities nationwide, the Alzheimer's Association Walk to End Alzheimer’s® is the world’s largest event to raise awareness and funds for Alzheimer’s care, support and research. This inspiring event calls on participants of all ages and abilities to join the fight against the disease!

When you participate in Walk, your fundraising dollars fuel our mission, and your participation in the event helps to change the level of Alzheimer’s awareness in your community. The Alzheimer’s Association provides free, easy-to-use tools and staff support to help participants reach their fundraising goal. While there is no fee to register, we encourage participants to fundraise in order to contribute to the cause and raise awareness.

Take the first step by registering at When you register, you will have access to a wide range of tools and support through your customized Participant Center. Join us and lead the way to Alzheimer's first survivor. Together, we can end Alzheimer’s disease!

How to Participate in 3 Easy Steps:

  1. Find a Walk in your community.
  2. Register as a team captain, team member or individual.
  3. Start fundraising and raising awareness.

Are there ID or minimum age requirements to enter the event?

The Walk to End Alzheimer's is open to all ages and there is no fee to register. Everyone walking must register.

What are my transportation/parking options for getting to and from the event?

There is free parking at the event.

What can I bring into the event?

We do allow strollers, but for everyone’s safety, we discourage skateboards, bicycles, inline skates and wheelie footwear. Depending on the Walk location rules, well-behaved dogs are welcome, but must be on a leash at all times.

Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?

Once you register online, you may attend one of our early bird registration dates to pick up your Promise Garden wristbands and any earned shirts or medals. Then, on Walk Day you may go straight to the Promise Garden Booth. Registration online is highly recommended to save you time and save a shirt in your preferred size should you choose to fundraise $100 or more.

Is it ok if the name on my ticket or registration doesn't match the person who attends?

Each participant on Walk Day must be registered due to liability restrictions, including children and adults. Save time by registering online at
