Event description

Description

Join MCL on Saturday September 28, 2019, to hear the exploits of explorer Samuel Penfield Taylor, who found a site on Papermill Creek in 1855 and prospered from logging, running a paper mill, and entertaining tourists; and celebrate MCL's tortuous but successful efforts 90 years later to save the site as a State Park. Jean Berensmeier, Past President of MCL and unofficial historian and saver of San Geronimo Valley's public lands, will be there with stories.

Meet at Redwood Grove Group Picnic Area for the 9:30 - 12:30 event, and walk the Pioneer Tee Trail, a 2.5 mile loop with moderate elevation change.
