A VIP Preview Party at Oakland Zoo’s new California Trail. Be among the first to ride the aerial gondola to the Kaiser Permanente Visitor Center & Restaurant, pictured above, to enjoy an evening of gourmet hors d’oeuvres, boutique wines and craft beers. Visit WIW in the Zoo following this exclusive pre-event party.

Sparkling Bay views are the backdrop for an evening of California Fusion cuisine prepared by executive chefs selected for this inaugural event.

Are there ID or minimum age requirements to enter the event?
We serve alcohol at Walk in the Wild so no one under 21 is admitted. No exceptions.
What is included with the purchase of a Patron Party ticket?
With the purchase of your Patron Party ticket you will get access to the private pre-Walk in the Wild party as well as admission to Walk in the Wild where you will enjoy unlimited access to all food stations, beer and wine samples, live entertainment and dessert.
Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?
Yes. There will be valet parking at the Patron Party and each attendee must have their printed ticket in hand.
Is there a discount on admission to the Patron Party for current Oakland Zoo Members?
No. Admission price to the Patron Party is $400 per person.
What kind of attire do guests generally wear to Walk in the Wild?
Walk in the Wild is a casual event, and guests generally dress accordingly. Many guests also enjoy dressing in festive animal or zoo related prints.
Does Oakland Zoo provide wheelchairs for guests attending Walk in the Wild?
While we do not provide wheelchairs for guests, the Zoo is entirely wheelchair accessible. Please know the Zoo is located on a hill and visiting all of the vendor booths would require going both up and down a hill.
Is there only going to be beer and wine?
No. Water and other non-alcoholic beverages are also available.
