Walk Along the Shore 2016
Sat, November 12, 2016, 1:00 PM – 3:30 PM EST
A Walk Along the Shore is a fundraiser walk for The Shore Grief Center. This year we will walk for more mental health awareness as well as for those we have lost to suicide.
The walk will take place on the campus of Southeastern Baptist Seminary in downtown Wake Forest. The route will be around the beautiful campus with its sweeping oak trees and brick paths. It will be perfect for strollers, wheelchairs and dogs!
REGISTRATION 12:00 - 1:00 pm (this includes checking in if you've pre-registered)
Come early and create a memory for our memory tree, pick a butterfly for your loved one, select your honor beads and learn more about The Shore Grief Center!
We hope to have a butterfly release in lieu of a balloon release which can be harmful to our birds and ocean creatures. Keep your fingers crossed that the temperature will be 70 or above so we can release them!
There is not a registration fee this year but you must still register (for insurance purposes). Instead we ask that you donate generously so The Shore can continue to help those who are grieving and may be experiencing depression as a result of their grief. Addressing depression is key to preventing additional suicides.
For those donating $75 or more, you'll receive a cooler backpack in lime green with the Shore logo! Only good for the first 24 people though! (watch our Facebook page for an image soon!)
Thanks for your support of those grieving in our communities.
