About this event

Note: This workshop is now full. We are maintaining an active waiting list, so please write to wow@waldenschool.org to inquire. Thanks so much for your interest!

How do you imply the impossible? What parallels can be drawn between visual art and music? What inspiration do we find in optical and auditory illusion?

In this 90-minute workshop, we will discover parallels between mind-blowing works by the Dutch artist M. C. Escher and mind-blowing music by György Ligeti, Steve Reich, Charles Ives, Ruth Crawford Seeger, J. S. Bach, and Guillaume Machaut. This will be an interactive presentation; in addition to looking at scores and listening, we will have group discussions and do some creative work.

The workshop is free and open to all. Please contact wow@waldenschool.org with any questions or comments.
