WALA “Arts and the Pandemic” Online Clinic w/ Rock Creek Kings & the Arts & Entertainment Advocacy Clinic at Scalia Law
Date: Tuesday, October 27, 2020
Time: 4:00 - 6:00 p.m.
Join us for a virtual event discussing copyright law and how local artists and venues are coping with restrictions imposed by the pandemic, including how the local band Rock Creek Kings has continued to bring joy to live audiences with the support of legal services obtained through WALA's network of volunteer attorneys. Artists of all kinds are most welcome!
Please send questions in advance when registering, or to legalservices@waladc.org about copyright law and related challenges artists have faced during the pandemic.
Sharing your questions in advance will help the Clinic cater to the live audience and better prepare for an active discussion.
The event will also include a streamed performance by members of Rock Creek Kings. The Clinic comprises a team of IP law students from the Antonin Scalia Law School, George Mason University, supporting arts and entertainment advocacy under the direction of Sandra Aistars, Clinical Professor of Law.
Sponsors: WALA, Antonin Scalia Law School, George Mason University, Copyright Alliance
