Description

****Make sure to fill out the follow-up survey found in the order confirmation in order to reserve your hotel, food and transportation****

Did you know that your story can be a catalyst for better financial aid policies in Washington’s higher education system?

Register for Washington Student Engagement Networks' (WA-SEN) 2nd symposium today!

Did you miss the first symposium? Not a problem. We have all resources from past events listed on our website here.

The first symposium served as a springboard for 60+ students—representing more than 30 campuses--to convene in Olympia during the 2018 legislative session. WA-SEN’s students were a powerful voice during the legislative session. This next symposium will train up the current and future leaders of WA-SEN for the 2019 legislative session and beyond!

This training is for every level of comfort with advocacy work. If you think you're a newbie, you are a perfect future WA-SEN leader! If you think you are a legislative expert, you're a perfect future WA-SEN leader! We'll provide the tools and resources you. All you need to bring is your passion and 2-3 like-minded peers.

Symposium Themes:

  • Effective Story Telling for Social Change
  • The Power of Educational Attainment
  • Equity
  • Building Support on Your Campus
  • Applied Learning

Hotel accommodations and food (Friday dinner, Saturday breakfast and lunch) costs are covered by WA-SEN. Transportation options are also available. After you reserve your spot, you'll receive a follow-up survey regarding accomodations.
