Some Stand-up with W. Kamau Bell --- Remember him?
Bay Area comedian W. Kamau Bell misses you real, real bad, Bay Area. Don't get him wrong. He's enjoying his new TV show, the critically acclaimed Totally Biased on the FX Network that is produced / comedy legend / foul-mouthed-Yoda, Chris Rock. He even sort of enjoyed getting heckled by Barbara Walters on ABC's The View. (Actually he didn't enjoy that at all. He also doesn't enjoy how every time he talks about his life now somebody accuses him of a #HumbleBrag.) But Kamau could use an infusion of some Bay Area-ness before he begins working on the next seven episodes of Totally Biased which returns May 9th. So at the last minute, Kamau is booking a flight back to the Bay and returning to Stage Werx --- the theater that has supported all of his various projects throughout the years --- to tell some of the tale and also some of those jokes that The New Yorker called, "faintly revolutionary".
And to show some love to his roots, 100% of the proceeds will go to Stage Werx!
This is a co-production with Solo Performance Workshop, Bruce Pachtman and Ty Mckenzie.
Mikl-em, Stage Werx Theater and Foul Play Productions have joined forces to bring you a unique theatrical legacy in the fine tradition of the SF Cacophony Society.
