The Abnormal Flow: Managing Congenital Liver Disease - Dr. Peter Chapman, DACVIM
This lecture will discuss the clinical approach to diagnosing and managing congenital liver disease. There will be specific reference to congenital vascular diseases such as portosystemic shunts and microvascular dysplasia. The focus will be on diagnosis, medical management and a discussion of which patients can benefit from surgical or interventional treatment.
Congenital Cardiac Disease - Dr. Julia Shih, DACVIM (Cardiology)
This lecture will discuss the most common cardiac congenital abnormalities seen in small animal veterinary patients including patent ductus arteriosus, pulmonic stenosis and subaortic stenosis. The lecture will focus on the clinical presentation and diagnosis of these conditions, medical, interventional and surgical treatment options, and prognosis.
Anesthesia for C-Section & Pediatric Cases - Dr. Sabrina Reilly, DACVAA
Lecture will review how to manage pediatric patients and patients undergoing c-sections during the peri-anesthetic period, including; Physiologic concerns in these patients, anesthetic concerns, anesthesia protocols and management of common problems under anesthesia.
