This one hour lecture will delve into how to identify as well as treat, severe respiratory distress in felines.

Feline Herpes Virus - 1 is the most common cause of ocular disease in cats. The basic pathogenesis and various clinical syndromes of FHV-1 will be presented, including conjunctivitis, corneal ulceration, corneal sequestra, and eosinophilic keratoconjunctivitis. A wide variety of treatment options for FHV-1 will be discussed with special focus given to the newer anti-viral medications.

This talk will feature case studies and new research to examine the presentations, treatments options and prognosis for; tooth resorption, periodontal disease & stomatitis in the cat.

*Gastrointestinal Disease In Cats: IBD to Cancer, Diagnosis To Treatment - Cara Horowitz, DVM, DACVIM & Kathy Kazmierski, VMD, MS, DACVIM (oncology)
Gastrointestinal disease is extremely common in cats and multiple diseases can present in similar fashions. This lecture will address common disease presentations and diagnostic techniques with an emphasis on inflammatory bowel disease and small cell lymphoma.
These programs have been submitted for 5 hours of continuing education credit in jurisdictions which recognize AAVSB RACE approval; however participants should be aware that some boards have limitations on the number of hours accepted in certain categories and/or restrictions on certain methods of delivery of continuing education.
