The Heart of the Continent Partnership (HOCP) is a Canadian/American coalition of land managers and local stakeholders working together on cross-border projects that promote the economic, cultural and natural health of the lakes, forests and communities on the Ontario/Minnesota border. Representing a broad array of organizations, the partnership seeks to develop a common identity and sense of belonging.

Bike the Heart is a series of cycling events coordinated by the Heart of the Continent Partnership during the summer of 2019. The Heart of the Continent is quickly becoming known to the cycling community as a destination for great rides and adventure. More trails and popular bike routes are surfacing that were once the secrets of the local clubs.

Proceeds for this event go to support the Voyageurs National Park Association, the Rainy Lake Sportfishing Club and future Voyageur Country Bike the Heart events. The Rainy Lake Sportfishing Club is working with Voyageurs National Park and Voyageurs National Park Association to construct an accessible fishing pier in the area of the Rainy Lake Visitor Center.
