Cold Chocolate will appear at VOMA on Thursday, July 24, 2014, with The Crew of the Half Moon. The show is all ages. General admission is $10, and VOMA VIP and Student admission is $8. The doors at VOMA, 305 Chestnut Street in Cambria City, will open at 6:30pm, with music starting at 7:00pm, and the event is BYOB for those 21 and over, with ID.
Cold Chocolate is creating an exciting and unique new sound in the world of Americana: fusing bluegrass and roots with a dash of funk. With original tunes and technical prowess, this four-piece band from Boston is rocking audiences with guitar, banjo, upright bass, drums, and four-part harmony.
Guitarist/songwriter Ethan Robbins began his bluegrass career at Oberlin College. A founding member of The Outhouse Troubadours, an Oberlin Bluegrass Phenomenon, he began to explore how this hard-driving fast-paced genre could be stretched.
Cold Chocolate will be performing at several major music festivals in 2014, including the Grey Fox Bluegrass Festival in Oak Hill, NY, and FloydFest in Floyd, VA.
