Thank you for your interest in volunteering for this truly fun and exciting event!
Celebration Weekend 2013: Why We Love The West is Sunset's annual event where they open their seven-acre campus in Menlo Park and share cooking, gardening, travel and home improvement tips with the community.
Join Sunset editors and experts from the worlds of food, wine, garden, home and design as they share tips, tastings, demonstrations and inspirations that bring the experience to life. Over 20,000 people are expected to attend.
Children’s Health Council provides over 200 volunteers for this event and in exchange for our help receives a generous donation from Sunset. Volunteers are needed to greet guests with a smile, diligently work in the gardens and culinary exhibits and happily pour beer & wine in the beverage gardens. All volunteers will receive an event t-shirt and free admission to the event on the day they volunteer – so you can enjoy the celebration as well. It’s truly a chance to not only serve and have some fun, but to be part of a community event that will truly benefit the great work being done at Children's Health Council.
Each volunteer should register individually and cannot register another person. Please choose from one of these volunteer options:

CHC Rocktoberfest is a light-hearted spin on the typical annual fundraising gala. Guests visit and dance the night away knowing their participation is all for a great cause. Proceeds from the event support CHC, the well-known local nonprofit that has changed the lives of close to a million families facing ADHD, learning differences, anxiety and depression and autism. Rocktoberfest is always a sell out and a perfect way to spend a beautiful October evening while giving back to the community.
CHC provides expert multidisciplinary services for children and teens with ADHD, Learning Differences, Anxiety & Depression and Autism in the Greater Bay Area at The Center in Palo Alto, Community Clinics in Palo Alto and San Jose, in partnership in the Ravenswood community, and administers two schools: an award winning K-8 program for children with learning differences and an alternative public school for children with emotional and behavioral issues. CHC strives to remove barriers to learning for kids and families regardless of language, location or ability to pay. Thanks to community support, CHC has expanded its services to low-income families in the peninsula and south bay, expanded its on and off-site community and professional education program to over 2,700 participants, and recently launched the Teen Mental Health Initiative to reduce stigma, increase awareness, connect those in need to those who can help, and reduce teen suicides. CHC is a 501(c)3 charity, TIN 94-1312311. www.chconline.org
