ABOUT GBAF

Hosted by People’s Daily Online, and organized by People’s Daily Online West USA, the GBAF will be held in

San Francisco, California, the United States on March 28-29, 2019.

At a time when the economic globalization and regional development are interdependent, the major Bay Areas across the world have come to a critical moment and have an urgent need for economic transformation. The call for cooperation opportunities of mutual interest growth has never been stronger.

Gathering the most famous Bay Areas from the world, the Global Bay Areas Cooperation and Development Forum (GBAF) is a top conference in the industry.

With the theme of “Connection, Cooperation, and Development”, GBAF brings together the core institutions, top enterprises, think tank experts and economists from the world’s six Bay Areas to discuss the challenges and opportunities they encounter. The forum aims to build an efficient and active platform for cooperation and promotion for the win-win partnership, thus consolidating the leadership position of these Bay Areas in the global economy.

The forum connects the most famous 6 Bay Areas worldwide, including New York, San Francisco, Tokyo, Sydney, London, and Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao. It would also invite other Bay Areas to actively participate in and communicate with others. It establishes an interactive relationship among all parties, which will lay the foundation for future connection, cooperation, development, and competition, turning it into the new world- class platform for international economic cooperation.



We're looking for volunteers to best assistant our guest speakers throughout the conference.

Volunteer Requirments:

  1. Currently enrolled students (Bachelor degree or above)
  2. Fluent in both English and Mandarine
  3. Must be able to attend orientation and training (Dates to be announced)
  4. Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
  5. Prior volunteering experience is a plus
  6. Commitment to the values and principles of volunteerism
  7. Screening interview may be conducted depending on the number of applicants
