Description

Join Us As We Grow Our Team! Become a Volunteer with the Education Department at the NEW -New York Aquarium!

As the New York Aquarium prepares to open the exciting Ocean Wonders: SHARKS! Exhibit this summer, we are seeking diverse, enthusiastic, and dedicated people to help engage, inspire, and educate guests of all ages about wildlife and conservation. By connecting people to animals and nature at the park's touch pool, exploring conservation stories through interpretation at exhibits, or taking on active roles in conservation by assisting with campaigns, education volunteers are vital to the WCS mission to save wildlife and wild places worldwide.

As an education volunteer, you will have the opportunity to meet individuals from around the world and join a family of fellow volunteers, staff, and wildlife experts who share a passion for our natural world. You can help in a variety of ways to staff exhibits, teach visitors about marine conservation, and assist at events and education programs.

We invite you to a volunteer Open House where you can learn about all of our volunteer opportunities, take part in fun activities, fill out an application, and have the option of being interviewed while you are here!

Education volunteer programs are open to:

  • Working and Retired Adults

  • Seniors

  • College/Grad Students

  • Teens who are at least 15 years of age or older

To save time, we encourage those attending the event to print out the application ahead of time by visiting our website at www.nyaquarium.com/volunteering/education-volunteers. Bring the completed application with you the day of the Open House.
