SVBC is a big fan of social bike rides. They are fun, acquaint riders with interesting routes, and create awareness of various conditions affecting bicyclists.
Are you interested in learning the basics of hosting a community bike ride in your neighborhood? Would you like to create one to coincide with National Bike Month in May?
If so, come to our latest monthly Volunteer Night, where we'll be sharing the basics to initiating and leading recreational rides. These could be themed rides, a bike tour, or a community ride to your favorite event. Veteran social ride coordinator and SVBC member Candice Stein will share tips on planning your route, managing a group of riders safely and efficiently, and what to do on ride day. SVBC Outreach Manager Carlos Velazquez will share what support and resources SVBC can provide to all members who lead a ride.
Pizza and drinks are on us!
