Volunteer Mobilization Day 2013
Sunday, August 25, 2013 from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM (PDT)
Thank you for your interest in Volunteer Mobilization Day 2013! This annual event kicks off the school year in true public health fashion - by lending a hand to a few of the community organizations that keep Berkeley safe and healthy.
We hope you’ll join us and many of your fellow students for this fun and rewarding event. This afternoon offers an opportunity to get to know your new peers and colleagues as well as some inspiring community leaders. You’ll also learn about some of the local organizations addressing issues of health and quality of life in and around Berkeley.
Volunteer Mobilization Day will take place on Sunday, August 25th at 1 pm. We will meet at Springer Gateway on the west edge of the UC Berkeley Campus, across the street from University Hall. You will be greeted by SPH Student Government representatives who will get you oriented and on your way.
Please note that we will be walking or taking AC Transit to and from the volunteer sites, so please wear comfortable walking attire and bring enough cash and change for bus fare ($2.10 each way) or bring your AC Transit Class Pass. AC Transit Class Passes can be obtained at the Cal1 Card office. Let us know if you have questions.
Please RSVP by August 19th by selecting a ticket for the site you are most interested in above. We look forward to mobilizing with you!
*Note: It is not necessary to print tickets out for the event.
