Volunteer in Nature! Stewardship Workdays at Martin Griffin Preserve

Event description

Description

11am - 3pm Saturdays

10am - 2pm Thursdays

Become a land steward at Martin Griffin Preserve! As a land steward, you will have the opportunity to learn about the natural world, cultivate a relationship to the land, and contribute your skills and passion towards the protection of local plants and animals. Workdays focus on hand-pulling invasive plants, so this is a great activity for those who enjoy weeding in the garden. Please bring a lunch, clothes you would garden in, sturdy shoes, and a water bottle. Gloves and tools are provided. People of all experience levels are encouraged to join!

We will be meeting at the Martin Griffin Preserve parking lot in Stinson Beach. Public transportation to the meeting site is available via the West Marin Stagecoach route 61. For driving directions, visit www.egret.org/directions_martin_griffin

We welcome people of all races, ethnicities, religions, genders, sexual orientations, ages, and abilities. We will be working in different parts of the preserve each workday, so please contact Henry Inman if you have any questions or concerns about accessibility. Please RSVP for the date(s) you would like to volunteer.
