Volunteer for JDRF Promise Ball 2017
Sat, April 29, 2017, 6:30 PM – 10:00 PM EDT
Columbus Gives Back is excited to partner with the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF) and volunteer as the concierge for the 2017 Promise Ball!
Event Leaders: Alfred at email@example.com and Diana at firstname.lastname@example.org
What: We will serve as concierge, which means you will be the point person for three (3) to five (5) tables during the evening program. You will need to be in the ballroom by 7:00pm with a ballroom diagram, spotter wand, and your guest list. You must be out-going and friendly. This is a very interactive position.
Where: Woody Hayes Grand Ballroom at the Renaissance Columbus Downtown.
When: Please arrive at 6:30. Concierge training will begin at 6:45 and we will go live at 7pm!
Attire: Please wear formal attire.
More About Columbus Gives Back: Columbus Gives Back makes it fun and easy to volunteer! We organize one-time volunteer events in relaxed, social settings that are scheduled to fit our busy schedules.
More About JDRF: JDRF exists for the millions of children, adults, and families affected by type 1 diabetes (T1D) every single day. Their determination to overcome this disease strengthens ours to end it by funding life-changing T1D research.
T1D is an autoimmune disease in which a person's pancreas loses the ability to produce insulin — a hormone essential to turning food into energy. It strikes both children and adults suddenly and is unrelated to diet and lifestyle. It requires constant carbohydrate counting, blood-glucose testing, and lifelong dependence on injected insulin.
