Event description

Description

Join us for a volunteer work day along the beautiful headwaters of the Blue River at Oka’ Yanahli Preserve near Ada. Volunteers made a great start on the clean up efforts the past two years by picking up debris and litter, removing barbed wire fencing, and invasive species removal. We are eager to recruit your help for another round!

This time around we have three objectives:

  1. Saving an old barn and getting back into working condition.
  2. Bring your own chainsaw and remove invasive eastern redcedars
  3. Help remove a quarter mile of fencing from the prairie

The more the merrier! Load up your friends and family... Recruit colleagues from work! Attendees of all ages will have fun and make a valuable contribution to freshwater stewardship!

Lunch is provided.

REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED. (so we know how much food to provide)

PLEASE NOTE:

  • Directions/maps will be provided to all registrants via email.

  • Field trips are subject to cancellation due to inclement weather or other reasons. Registrants will be notified via email.
