Event description

Description

Join Repair the World in volunteering and having fun at The Campaign Against Hunger's urban farm!

In 2009, The Campaign Against Hunger became the first community-based organization in New York City to effectively create its own “farm to pantry” distribution loop with the opening of Saratoga Urban Agro-Ecological Center. The Saratoga Farm encompasses 7,900 sq. feet and produces roughly 7,000 pounds of produce each farm season.

Volunteers can expect to engage in manual labor (such as shoveling or pushing wheelbarrows). From March to May, we will be preparing the farm for growing season and farmer's market, which starts in July.

Please sign up as an individual and if you'd like to bring a group of 2-10 people please email Riki. For volunteer groups or general questions, please contact Riki at Riki.Robinson@werepair.org
