GUEST SPEAKERS

Alisa Childers is a lifelong church-goer, follower of Jesus, and former CCM recording artist with the Dove award-winning group ZOEgirl. Alisa experienced a period of profound doubt about her faith in her mid-thirties. She felt as though she had been tossed in a stormy ocean of uncertainty with no life jacket or lifeboat in sight. She didn't know where to find answers to her questions, or if answers existed at all. Did she have to accept it all on some kind of blind faith? She began to investigate her faith intellectually — she took seminary classes and read everything she could get her hands on. This began her journey from unreasoned doubt into a vibrant, rational, and informed faith. Whether you're a seeker, a doubting Christian, or a strong Christian wanting to become better at articulating your faith, Alisa is ready to tackle the tough questions with us!

Brett Kunkle is the founder and president of MAVEN (www.maventruth.com), a movement to equip the next generation to know the truth, pursue goodness, and create beauty. He has more than 25 years of experience working with junior high, high school, college students, and parents. A dynamic communicator who engages both heart and mind, Brett speaks to thousands of students and adults at churches, seminars, conferences, and college campuses across the country. He has developed a groundbreaking approach to missions trips, creating a one-of-a-kind training experience that immerses participants in real-life engagement in worldview, apologetics, theology, and evangelism. MAVEN creates customized interactive missions experiences in Berkeley, California, and Salt Lake City, Utah, equipping participants to engage skeptics, atheists, Mormons, and university students with the truth of the gospel. Brett lives with his wife and five kids in Southern California.

J. Warner Wallace is a Dateline featured cold-case homicide detective, popular national speaker, and best-selling author. He continues to consult on cold-case investigations while serving as a Senior Fellow at the Colson Center for Christian Worldview. He is also an adjunct professor of apologetics at Talbot School of Theology (Biola University) and Southern Evangelical Seminary, and a faculty member at Summit Ministries. J. Warner became a Christ-follower at the age of thirty-five after investigating the claims of the New Testament gospels using his skills as a detective. He eventually earned a Master’s Degree in Theological Studies from Gateway Seminary. Jim is married to Susie (the love of his life since 1979) and has four children. He lives in Southern California where he enjoys running on the beach and trails and walking his trusty Corgi, Bailey.
