Description

The Hip Hop Caucus is a national, non-profit and non-partisan organization that connects the hip hop community to the civic process to build power and create positive change. Guest speaker Mustafa Santiago Ali’s talk will focus on the power of hip hop to connect people to issues of environmental justice and will feature music, dialogue, community conversation, and a free plant-based dinner from Pearl Island Catering. At 8:00 PM, head over to IX Art Park for an afterparty with area performers. This event is hosted by UVA Sustainability & the Nine Pillars Hip Hop Cultural Festival as part of the UVA Community MLK Celebration.
