This FREE, VIRTUAL 6-week course will instruct adults with vision loss on how to use iOS VoiceOver via the Zoom platform.

About this event

This training is intended for adults with vision loss as part of our independent living program. It is free thanks to generous donors and sponsors. Professionals in the field of vision loss interested in similar training should email info@tvisc.org.

VoiceOver is a screen reader built into Apple Inc.'s iOS operating system. By using VoiceOver, the user can access their iOS device based on spoken descriptions.

Adults with vision loss will learn:

  • Basic Set Up, including making a shortcut key
  • Basic Gestures, Speak screen, Magic Tap gestures, and using Rotor Settings
  • Will be instructed in VA Curriculum which covers using VoiceOver and external keyboard to: create contacts, calendars, and email
  • Final class session will focus on using VO and external keyboard to learn how to navigate events page on TVI website.

The class will meet on Tuesdays from 10-11:30 for six (6) consecutive weeks.
