Welcome to a brand new type of public speaking workshop, where you pay what you think the class is worth. We'll be covering public speaking using top-level techniques from actor training, behavioural psychology and speech therapy - delivered by a coach with a MA in Voice.
Our classes are taken by Matt Pocock, a 3,000-lesson coach who has worked with clients from Time Warner, Sky, the UK Government, BBC, NHS, and MEC. For Accenture UK he appeared at Westminster Central Hall alongside Jon Snow (Channel 4, not HBO) and David Rowan of WIRED Magazine to deliver a talk on public speaking to 2,000 delegates. He's worked with football commentators, TV presentors, actors, executives, lawyers, teachers and many others, both in one-to-one sessions and in groups.
Our sessions are all about a practical training for public speaking, more like going to the gym than going to a club like Toastmasters. We'll be doing exercises to help you get better at public speaking, with the chance to try speaking in front of others at the level you feel comfortable with. And just like any good gym class, we want it to be as accessible as possible for beginners but to teach at an advanced level.
So you should come study with us if you are:
Tired of making the interview, but not nailing it.
Starting a business and looking to sharpen your pitch.
Teaching classes and feeling like your voice isn't doing you justice.
Worried that your stutter is impacting how people view you.
Concerned that you talk too fast or mumble.
Having trouble speaking over background noise, or in a crowded workplace.
Getting overly nervous before speaking.
Just wanting to feel more eloquent and get even better at your job.
