Join us for an unforgettable evening with Pulitzer Prize–winning author Junot Díaz, one of the most influential voices in contemporary American literature.

Presented by Latinos of Montclair, this special VOCES event - held in partnership with Montclair State University’s Department of English - invites audiences to reflect on identity, community & our collective futuro in the context of today’s political and social climate.

Díaz, best known for The Brief Wondrous Life of Oscar Wao and Drown, has reshaped the landscape of storytelling through his exploration of diaspora, belonging, and the 🇩🇴 Dominican American experience. His recent opinion pieces continue to challenge the narratives surrounding American Latinos, sparking necessary dialogue about who we are and where we’re headed.

At this exclusive VOCES fireside conversation, Díaz will discuss:

  • The intersections of culture, history, and imagination
