We are thrilled to welcome the dynamic and highly-acclaimed psychiatrist, Dr. Bruce D. Perry, as our guest speaker for VOCEL’s upcoming Early Expressions Luncheon on Wednesday, November 2nd, 2016 at the Union League Club of Chicago. We hope that you will attend and bring friends and colleagues to this landmark event. Dr. Perry will address The Power of Early Childhood through the lens of empathy-based child-rearing, sharing insights and solutions relevant to our city, country and overall economy.
Dr. Perry is the Founder and Senior Fellow of The ChildTrauma Academy based in Houston, Texas, and an Adjunct Professor of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at the Feinberg School of Medicine at Northwestern University. His focus — fostering brain growth through nurturing, connecting and relational health — casts a vital spotlight on how parent-child interactions shape young children’s social-emotional and cognitive development for life. Dr. Perry’s research, best-selling books and speeches provide a powerful voice championing family education and support in the formative years. His emphasis on empathy as the gateway skill has been revered by government agencies and not-for-profit organizations across the globe. Similarly, Dr. Perry’s insights and pragmatic family-centric solutions have been a cornerstone of VOCEL’s evolving strategy. We cannot imagine a better keynote speaker or more opportunistic timing to anchor the launch of VOCEL’s Child Parent Academy and our groundbreaking methodology.
Individual tickets are $100 and include a plated lunch, remarks from Dr. Perry and a copy of Dr. Perry's book Born for Love. See below for sponsorship opportunities. We hope you'll join us and our supporters for what is sure to be a joyous occasion celebrating VOCEL's children and families and the organization's continued growth.
