Vivaldi's THE FOUR SEASONS with Camerata Chicago Orchestra (Note Change)
Event Information
About this event
We regret to inform you that Joffrey Academy Ballet will be unable to fulfill its role in the upcoming Four Seasons performance on January 29. This news comes as a great disappointment to all of us, none more than Academy Director, Raymond Rodriguez who said, "The health and safety of our students and staff remain our priority, and we thank you for your understanding during these stressful times. We hope to be part of the Artists Series again in the near future." Camerata Chicago Musical Director Drostan Hall expressed his sincere regret that the long-envisioned collaboration would not come to pass at this time, but agreed that it's essential to provide a high quality musical experience for the our treasured Artist Series patrons if at all possible.
We are proud to present actress Kailey Bell, violinist Rika Seko, conductor Drostan Hall and Camerata Chicago Orchestra in Antonio Vivaldi's The Four Seasons. Long before we engaged our friends at Joffrey, Camerata Chicago had already recorded a critically acclaimed version of Vivaldi's The Four Seasons, featuring words, texts and poems of the composer. We are thrilled to be able to present a live performance based on the original project.
While this was not what we planned, we are once again pivoting to an outstanding alternative that we hope will reunite us in the familiar surroundings of our beloved Edman Chapel. There, we can enjoy the music while maintaining a recommended social distance from our fellow music lovers in the audience. In accordance with Wheaton College's Covid safety protocols, face masks over the nose and mouth are required while indoors.
